MOPAC: MAINTENANCE LEAD PERSON

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead person replace the supervisor and lead the effort to manage all of the employees under his/ her leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
The Lead person :
1. Supervises and Performs highly diversified duties with respect to production and facility equipment/systems.
a. Supervises and installs replacement motors, pumps, drives, belts, filters, gears, chains, and valves on process equipment, facility equipment, and fork lifts.
b. Troubleshoots pneumatic, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic machine problems and makes necessary repairs.
c. Performs repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement, and breakdowns due to mechanical wear.
d. Welds machine components.
e. Performs preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment.
f. Handles installations, including hooking up air, water, gas, and the alignment and leveling of equipment.
g. In the event of an electrical emergencies, ,must be able to hook up and start generation system safely.
h. Maintain the WWPT facility to operate within parameters safely.
i. Resolves all maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to production schedules.
2. Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain facility grounds, building and other facility equipment.
a. Provides leadership for Maintenance technicians performing preventative maintenance, equipment installs, parts replacement, equipment troubleshooting, etc.
b. Resolves all maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to facility and production schedules.
c. Manages service and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment such as condensing units, compressors, and evaporators.
d. Manages outside contractors to perform repairs on failed machinery and equipment.
e. Understands the tools and equipment needed to do each job.
f. Understands and determines when and what type of maintenance is needed.
g. Determines causes of operating errors and possesses ability to tell when something is likely to go wrong before downtime occurs.
h. Inspects or tests damaged machine parts and marks defective areas or advises supervisor of needs for repair
i. Resolves all maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to production schedules.
j. Leads equipment installations, including hooking up air, water, gas, and the alignment and leveling of equipment.
3. Completes maintenance record keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS:
§ High School Diploma or equivalent certification
§ At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience required
§ Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC and H VAC experience
§ AAS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
§ Ability to speak, read, and write English
§ Good verbal and written communication skills
§ Proficient in MS Office applications
§ Good math skills
§ Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
§ Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
§ Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
§ Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ACTIVITIES:
Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
HEARING:
Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
REPETITIVE MOTION:
Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
