We are looking for Remote AV Fleet Technicians to maintain and repair Kodiak's vehicles onsite at Atlas Energy Solutions in Kermit, TX.
In this role, you will:
- Work onsite at Atlas Energy Solutions to modify and maintain Kodiak's autonomous vehicle platforms, including truck and autonomous systems
- Replace major components of modular systems and basic harnesses of AV vehicles
- Inspect and certify the operational health of truck and AV platforms
- Work closely with design and validation engineers to aid in the development of hardware systems
- Execute work according to scheduled preventative maintenance and demand of related upkeep programs
- Transfer materials from staging locations into remote sites and readiness for transfer for field based workflows and teams.
- Provide technical coverage when needed in other locations
- Maintain a safe, clean, work environment
- Support the inspection and launch of AV trucks into areas of operation
What you'll bring:
- Ability to read, inspect and implement directions, as outlined and depicted in Electrical Harness Diagrams and Mechanical Prints
- Proficient with diagnostic instrumentation related to truck and AV platforms and the ability to perform failure analysis on related components
- Solid hands-on background. The ability to rely on previous experience or training to inspect and identify defects and failures within the truck and AV platforms. These range from visual to operational in nature
- Reliability and consistency. You have a track record of meticulous work. You are comfortable developing and practicing methodical service through the use of checklists, protocols, and work documentation
- Clear communication. You are comfortable providing feedback to engineers, and sharing insights with the team at large to improve products and processes. You know how to collaborate, and when to get secondary inspection and review for safety-critical decisions
- Innovative mindset. You like to find ways to improve the system you are working on. You can solve problems and complete tasks even when the path to the solution is not clear at the outset
- Flexibility in working days and hours. Work schedules will reflect local industry demands of 10-12 hour days and 4 on 3 off work weeks
- High potential for night/weekend shifts depending on hiring requirements
- Periodic travel back to main locations for short term cross training and support
- Previous 2-5 years truck and trailer repair tech history is strongly desired
- Experience in the energy sector is a bonus
