Position Summary: 
 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in sustaining our existing charging solution and the development of next-generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reliability engineering, statistical analysis, and system design for hardware, firmware, and software systems. This role focuses on driving product reliability initiatives, assessing risks, and ensuring robust and reliable performance throughout the product lifecycle. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and refine reliability specifications and test plans to evaluate and enhance product reliability.  
  • Perform independent assessments of components, subsystems, and system designs to identify vulnerabilities, risks affecting product reliability and recommend action 
  • Use advanced statistical and reliability analytical tools (e.g., Weibull analysis, FMEA, DFMEA) to model and predict product reliability.   
  • Direct engineering teams on strategies to improve reliability at the design, development, and testing stages.   
  • Develop and execute reliability test procedures, including ALT, HALT, and HASS, to evaluate and validate product performance under real-world conditions.   
  • Lead root cause investigations for anomalies identified during accelerated life testing. 
  • Develop processes and tools to assess design and manufacturing risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.   
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Certification in reliability engineering (CRE) is plus 
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering preferably in EVSE, automotive, or power systems.   
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methods and tools (e.g., Minitab, ReliaSoft).   
  • Experience with reliability testing techniques (e.g., ALT, HALT, HASS) and tools such as fault tree analysis (FTA).   
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61851, UL 2202, and other EVSE-specific requirements.   
  • Hands-on experience with failure analysis techniques and root cause investigation processes.  
The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 USD to $135,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
