As a Release Manager, you will work with ID&F engineering, delivery, service and product Teams. You will report into the Implementation and Integration Services Manager.
What you will do:
- You will manage the Release Management lifecycle of multiple of our global software products in the UK&I region and the delivery of change implementation across several of our regionally developed software products.
- Work with other global release managers to coordinate the release train between multiple Teams and ensure production deployment deadlines are met.
- You will define the strategic usage of release management tools to report on the progress and success of each release.
- Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending on third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
- Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
- Work with DevOps engineers to support every release and lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software.
What you will bring:
- A BSc in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent degree.
- Proficiency in English.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Good communication and influence skills to shape and contribute to the outcomes across distributed groups.
- Extensive and demonstrable project management experience
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines.
- Experience working with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Experience of Software Development Lifecycle best practices.
- Practical experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, as well as Waterfall.
It would be considered an advantage if you have:
- SAFe® Release Train Engineer or Prince2 certification
- Experience in managing activities via Jira and Confluence.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
