The Team
As a member of a dynamic IT Department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the release of software applications or products. They work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance (QA) engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure smooth and efficient release processes.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, manage and coordinate releases across multiple applications within different teams and projects;
  • Define and establish a release calendar for the different projects to have a centralized view of all releases;
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and within quality standards;
  • Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality;
  • Manage deployment plan execution and validate Release Notes;
  • Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and use post implementation reviews to optimize release management process;
  • Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists;
  • Ensure all team members are adhering to engineering best practices as well as enforcing DevOps policies (CI/CD pipelines).

Requirements

To be considered you should have:

  • Strong academic background in relevant Information Technology subject or related equivalent work experience required. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001) are preferred;
  • At least 4 years of experience in release management, project coordination, or a related role;
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, or ISO 27001;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Release Management tools and technologies. This can include version control systems (e.g., Git), release management platforms (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), and automation tools for build and deployment;
  • Coordination and Communication Skills. Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including developers, QA engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Also, excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for creating release documentation and providing updates to the team and management;
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language;
  • Fulfilled military obligations for male candidates.
