Position Summary

Are you passionate about ensuring seamless software releases and leading a team to deliver top-notch travel technology solutions? Etraveli Group is looking for a dynamic Release Coordinator to join our innovative team and help us continue to revolutionize the travel industry!

As a Release Coordinator at Etraveli Group, you will play a crucial role in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of software releases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that releases are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality. Your expertise will help drive our mission to provide exceptional travel experiences.

We are looking for a person with strong ability to communicate, visualize and collaborate internally to consistently manage and follow up system releases according to the company's priorities. Building trust and creating trust is something you naturally do. You contribute to creating good and long-term collaborations, which also helps you navigate within different levels of the organization and ensure that messages get through in an effective way. You are an initiator who feels confident in taking overall responsibility and making well-founded decisions, while acting consistently and creating clarity and stability.

The role is global, meaning that it involves close collaboration with Release Coordinators with all our development sites: Sweden, Greece, India and Uruguay.
The role reports to the Director of the Technology Department in Greece. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end software release lifecycle and process. Plan and manage all aspects of software releases, including scheduling, coordination, and communication. Work towards making continuous improvements in the release process
  • Cater to release analytics by ensuring that proper steps are followed by the product teams when releasing software, either in the normal flow, bugfix or hotfix
  • Promote regression testing changes, as per findings from the above analytics
  • Operatively perform the version cut to trigger the new version release cycle
  • Operatively green light the release as ready; coordinate the release execution; notify on release completion
  • Define the release schedule, identify and communicate any breaking changes introduced; we currently have four scheduled releases per week
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software
  • Identify potential risks and issues in the release process and develop mitigation strategies
  • Implement and refine release management processes to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related inquiries and updates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in release management, within software technology sectors
  • A degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of agile software development
  • Excellent ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and guidance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset for identifying and addressing issues
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and lead through influence. You can apply a strategic, holistic approach to your work, while motivating and building confidence within the team
  • Comfortable working with colleagues at various levels across the organization and capable of handling multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with Git, BitBucket, or similar git-based version control systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and project management tools.
