Regulatory Change Program Manager

Square is looking for a Regulatory Change Program Manager to join our European compliance team. As part of Square's European business, your ideas and contributions will have immediate impact. The Compliance team mission is to lead high impact global projects for the Compliance organization, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. 

You will manage projects to support large-scale regulatory change that impacts EU and UK business operations, including operational efficiency improvements, supporting the design and launch of new products, and partnering with finance, product managers, operations leads, engineers, legal counsel, and vendors. You will report into the EU Chief Compliance Officer.  

This is a full-time role based in Ireland and can be fully remote.

You Will:

  • Manage technical projects, by gathering requirements, developing and tracking project milestones, and estimating work efforts
  • Evaluate current operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices
  • Identify the reduction of business risks
  • Design and maintain all relevant documentation and content
  • Communicate the progress/status with the Counsel team, executives, and other project team members
  • Build tactical and scalable solutions for operational teams to manage compliance tasks and risks
  • Communicate progress to all relevant partners
  • Stay on top of regulatory developments, industry trends and Square roadmaps to guide decisions
  • 4+ years of experience managing large projects
  • Project planning experience
  • Experience creating scalable financial models
  • An ability to distill complex issues into solvable tasks
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • A metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions

Even better:

  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in compliance, AML, or the payments industry
  • Data visualization experience

This is a Controlled Function (CF) role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness & Probity Standards ('CBI Standards').
