Team: R&D & Regulatory Affairs
As Regulatory Affairs Manager at foodspring, your responsibilities are to ensure that our products meet the legal requirements in all our current and future markets. This includes a thorough legal check of the used ingredients as well as the amounts of active ingredients according to different national regulations.
You will hold a key responsibility in our ambitious goal to have all our markets covered with specific artworks/labels, which means direct involvement in the label creation process as well as being responsible for the notification of supplements in different countries.
You will also provide support to our marketing and sales representatives with a pragmatic and hands-on mentality when it comes to finding a way to promote our products.
You will work closely with our Food Safety & Quality Managers as well as colleagues from various departments at foodspring, such as the Operations Team and the Product Marketing Team.
Additionally, you work closely with Mars (global foods) to make sure all relevant Mars Inc. standards will be implemented.
You keep a close track of legislative developments and updates, and up-and-coming areas of opportunity within the nutrition industry.
Your role is key to ensuring that new products and our existing product portfolio meet strategic, commercial, and qualitative goals.
What you offer us:
Profound knowledge of regulatory requirements in food and/or supplements, including the use of health claims. You love to keep updated in legislation and frequent further training will help you to acquire the needed knowledge in relevant fields.
You have a relevant education (e.g. food chemist, nutritionist or food science, lawyer)
Proof of sufficient experience in a similar position in an international company (regulatory and/or quality, minimum of 3 years).
In addition to your regulatory knowledge, you have a strong commercial interest in taking new products to the market by supporting product development.
Highly skilled in establishing partnerships and collaboration with business partners, manufacturers, and regional regulatory affairs, as well as other stakeholders.
Strong results orientation, ability to execute multiple tasks effectively, and sense of urgency.
Solid capacity to analyze, interpret, and synthesize regulations and guidelines.
Able to work independently with a strong capability of self-awareness and adaptability.
You are a good communicator and accustomed to creating and holding presentations.
You are fluent in German and English, both speaking and writing.
You are comfortable working in a high-paced, start-up environment.
