The Opportunity
We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic platform administrator to own set-up activities within our third-party registration platform, Visit by GES. The successful candidate will be a confident self-starter who will thrive on the opportunity to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment, with colleagues located all over the globe.
We are in a unique position to expand our registration offering, which currently services 50+ B2B events and hundreds of thousands of customers each year. You will partner with our show teams to deliver their end-to-end registration set-up, providing them with the confidence to create the vibrant exhibitions our communities thrive off. You will become the subject matter expert on all things to do with the registration platform and share your experience and best practice with our colleagues.
The Role
The Registration department sits within Informa EMEA’s Central Marketing function. We are a newly formed and rapidly expanding team that facilitates registration for all events within EMEA, aiming to provide a first-class registration experience to all our colleagues and customers. Job Summary/Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Partner with the allocated show team on end-to-end registration set up, from requirement gathering to event configuration and testing, ensuring all preparation is done in a timely manner adhering to strict deadlines
- Ensure all platform tasks are carried out in a timely manner according to individual project plans and within deadlines set.
- Assist with post-event ‘lesson learned’ reporting and analysis through collation and recording of requested data.
- Become a subject matter expert in our registration product, able to share best practice examples with other teams to enhance their capabilities and create a more consistent ‘Informa experience’.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in our registration offering.
- Perform any ad hoc updates to content throughout the event cycle(s) as requested.
- Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility.
Who are you?
- You are great collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues across our global organisation.
- You have strong attention to detail, especially in testing any updates before they are made visible to our customers.
- You are a fast learner and are willing to get stuck in learning a new a platform.
- You can demonstrate a proactive approach and take initiative, anticipating needs.
- You are a great problem solver.
- You have strong time management and organizational skills.
- You can work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- You have excellent English (oral and written). Additional languages desirable.
- You are confident with technology and able to work with various systems; MS Office, Jira, Smartsheet or other workflow tools.
- You have had previous technical platform experience or a second line support role.
- You are willing to travel to our global events as and when required.
Desirable:
- You have experience and/or understanding of the events industry.
- You have experience working with and managing data.
- You have experience with HTML.
