Our client is seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join their team in El Paso, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience post-licensure in all phases of land surveying, construction, boundary, and topographic surveying. This role will involve managing survey staff, overseeing projects, and ensuring the highest quality standards in surveying and mapping services.

Manage & Support Survey Staff: Oversee and lead a team of 5 senior Survey Party Chiefs with assistants.
β
Project Oversight: Provide project management and technical expertise for topographic mapping (drone & ground), platting, boundary, ALTA, and construction staking.
β
Equipment Management: Maintain and manage all surveying instruments, including drones, scanners, robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
β
Technical Expertise: Operate Trimble field equipment and data collector software.
β
CADD Drafting & Plat Preparation: Manage CADD drafting efforts and finalize plats for public and private clients.
β
Survey Data Handling: Upload/download survey data from field teams.
β
Drone & Topographic Surveys: Oversee drone ortho-image and topographic survey projects.
β
Mentorship & Training: Train and mentor junior survey staff while ensuring quality control.
β
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and survey equipment.
β
AutoCAD Support: Assist in preparing survey drawings using AutoCAD software.
β
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as needed.
π Business Development: Play an active role in securing new business opportunities and client relationships. Assist in preparing Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and Proposals.
π¨βπΌ Leadership & Client Management: Serve as the Principal-in-Charge for survey practice areas in the regional market.

Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, company quality measures, and project frameworks.
π Project Oversight: Manage project performance, track progress, and oversee financials to ensure profitability.
π€ Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to resolve challenges and improve project performance.

Requirements
β Texas RPLS Licensure with 5+ years of experience (or ability to obtain licensure).
β Associateβs Degree in a related field.
β Strong working knowledge of surveying practices.
β Ability to manage survey crews performing topographic, boundary, and construction staking.
β Proficiency in Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS equipment, data collectors, and digital levels.
β Experience with Trimble Business Center, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
β Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
β Highly motivated team player with leadership abilities.
β Valid Driverβs License.
