As a Registered Dietitian on our team, you will provide nutritional counseling to patients undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors. You will assess patient nutritional needs and provide education that is tailored to each patient’s unique health goals and preferences. You will work closely with other members of our multidisciplinary care team to integrate nutritional interventions into the patient’s care plan, during and after treatment.
This is a contract, part-time role.
How You'll Contribute:
- Assess the nutritional needs and goals of patients undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors
- Counsel on each patient’s evolving nutritional needs during and after treatment
- Provide recommendations for nutritional interventions based on each patient’s unique cancer history and health goals, including information about potential nutritional and dietary supplements during cancer treatment
- Develop clinical protocols related to nutritional assessment and counseling
- Provide diet-related education to patients and share educational resources
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A friendly, empathetic, compassionate Registered Dietitian who is passionate about improving the lives of those undergoing cancer treatment and survivors
- Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised internship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
- RD-Registered Dietitian/RDN-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO)
- 2 years experience working as a Registered Dietitian in an Oncology setting
- Experience working in a Telehealth setting
- Strong preference for multiple state licenses
- Strong clinical skills, and high bar for experience and quality of care
- Team-focused; effective collaborator within the care team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
- High ethical standards of behavior
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Comfort with technology, including video chatting, electronic health records, and other telehealth tools.
Compensation Range: The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, market data, skills, geographic location, and business need. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
