What are we looking for?
As we continue expanding in the APAC region, we are looking for a strategic and skilled Marketing Regional Manager to accelerate growth. In this role, you will identify market opportunities and develop high impact plans to boost Skyscanner's brand, audience, and engagement across the key markets in the region. Your regional expertise will enable impactful campaigns and seamless execution across markets.
You will be responsible for generating incremental growth, challenging the status quo, and striving to help the business meet marketing targets and exceed whenever possible.
This crucial role will drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful integrated marketing initiatives localised for the region.
You’ll be reporting into the Head of Geo Growth and work closely with the APAC Commercial team, the regional and central Marketing teams and the Product central team. You will manage a team of Country Marketing Managers as direct reports and ensure they are set up for success and deliver.
What will this role be responsible for delivering on?
Drive Regional Growth Through Localised Marketing

Continuously identify and develop business opportunities tailored to key local markets based on insights and aligned with global objectives, working closely with regional channel leads to ideate, recommend and optimise key initiatives and their impact based on local insights

Craft and orchestrate high-impact regional marketing plans spanning campaigns, content, PR, social and more to bring opportunities to life

Leverage regional channel expertise to inform tactical decisions based on past ROI and impact, whilst owning the final call on tactics for your focus markets

Work closely with regional leads to obtain central team budgets and/or additional funding through convincing business cases focused on optimising impact

Own the local calendars, campaigns, and merchandising. Partner on relevant content creation such as SEO and CRM. Shape selected PR, social media, and CRM initiatives

Work with global marketing to integrate global initiatives into local calendar

Champion local brand position and tone of voice. Ensure consistent localised messaging and UX

Adopt a test and learn approach to innovate and quickly assess potential impact

Maintain holistic view of integrated regional marketing roadmap

Monitor performance, challenge assumptions, and drive results to meet and exceed budget targets

Champion cross-functional collaboration with product, commercial and marketing teams, enabling seamless collaboration to action on local trends and opportunities, running cross-functional meetings to secure buy-in and coordinating localised actions across stakeholders

Help optimise Geo Growth's operating model to better serve local needs

Provide strategic input on future in-market marketing roles and needs to support scaling

Enhance localisation relevance by refining content and surfacing product experience gaps
Team leadership

Direct and support country marketing managers to optimise local impact, elevating skills through hands-on mentoring

Guide managers to translate insights into action and drive locally relevant marketing strategies

Jointly with the Market Development leadership team, design efficient, scalable cross-functional workflows

Foster a collaborative, innovative growth mindset that motivates and recognises achievements to boost engagement, goals and performance
What skills do we need?

Expertise in digital integrated marketing strategies and planning

Travel industry experience preferred
