Regional Manager East Midlands (Nottinghamshire)

Title: Regional Manager

Location: East Midlands (Nottinghamshire)

Hours: Full time (38 hours per week)

Salary: £37,146 – £40,019 including car allowance

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a Regional Manager to join our Nottinghamshire team. You will be responsible for leading a team of 5 Supported Living Managers (SLMs) and drive the delivery of measurable person-centred outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience of joint working with Multi-Disciplinary Teams and ensuring high quality support across multi-sited localities. With input through our Manager Development Programme, you will be supported to manage, mentor and upskill the SLMs in line with Perthyn’s strategic plan.

You will need to motivate managers and their teams to achieve and maintain high standards. This requires the ability to ‘zoom in’ to track individual progress and ‘zoom out’ to analyse regional trends. Proficiency in using IT/Database systems to gather, analyse, and report information is essential.

Experience in supporting people who can communicate through behaviour would be advantageous, as would a knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and the Active Support Model. You will work closely with the Positive Behavioural Support team to ensure managers and staff teams are supported and developed in these areas.

This role is based in our regional office in Mansfield, with regular travel across the business. Flexibility and reliability are essential, as this is not always a 9-5 job. Participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota is also required.

About the role

The Regional Manager (RM) is also the Registered Manager with CQC. The post holder will be required to register with CQC upon successful completion of the probation period, which is normally 6 months. Reporting to the Head of Support and Inclusion (HOSI) for England, the RM will be accountable for maintaining compliance with all the requirements of our regulators, including CQC, Local Authority Commissioners, and CHC (Continuing Health Care) Commissioners. This role is designed with expansion in mind, with an expectation for the RM to lead on identifying business growth opportunities within Nottinghamshire and surrounding counties.

Another key function of the role is to ensure that the people we support are actively involved in all aspects of their support, including the selection of new staff and providing feedback about their performance as part of the probation process. The RMs work as part of the senior management team and meet regularly with the HOSI to plan the work needed to achieve and maintain the standards set out in the organizational strategic plan.
