I. Job Summary
The Regional Human Resources Director works closely with the Director of People and Strategy to develop organizational HR strategies, programs, policies, and procedures that will enhance the Action Against Hunger brand and strengthen the Employee Value Proposition.
The Regional Human Resources Director is responsible of executing the Global People priorities in the region and of ensuring HR best practices are applied consistently across all Country offices.
Specifically, the Regional HR Director will bring direct support to the country offices in the areas of HR operational management and compliance, change management, organizational and performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee wellbeing and talent management.
The Regional Human Resources Director reports to the Director, People and Strategy (NY, USA Main office) and have a dotted line management to the Regional Director, Nairobi Kenya.

Purpose
The RHRD will drive the execution of the Global People Strategy by implementing impactful HR initiatives both in the region and countries. Cultivate a people-first culture that prioritizes well-being, engagement, and growth. Lead transformation efforts to build adaptive, high-performing teams while ensuring compliance, equity, and operational excellence.
Engagement
Serve as a strategic HR advisor to Regional and Country Leadership, guiding workforce planning, performance management and talent development. Strengthen HR networks to reinforce organizational values and global best practices. Partner with both internal and External stakeholders to foster an inclusive, trust-based workplace. Enhance HR capabilities through Learning and development initiatives.
Delivery
Ensure seamless execution of Global People priorities by advancing HR effectiveness across HEARO and country offices. Elevate talent strategies to improve hiring, development, and retention. Optimize HR operations by refining policies, strengthening employee support, and driving a culture of well-being. Aligning HR performance with organizational goals through collaboration and strategic monitoring.
