Regional Clinical Lead  

 

Job Summary:  

This is an intensely collaborative role with the Regional Director of Clinical Operations (RDCO). Communication is a significant aspect of this role; when in doubt over-communication is better than lack thereof. This role will continue to evolve as the company grows. The regional lead clinician was developed out of a need for each clinician to have a go-to person for liaising between senior-level management and the clinicians/facilities.  

Essential functions:  

  • Be able to perform duties of a Healing Partners provider
  • Perform regular (no less than weekly) check-ins with the RDCO; reports updates/concerns in a timely manner
  • Perform state-survey debriefing with facilities to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct (no less than quarterly) in-person rounding at all facilities
  • Attend pre-implementation meetings within the region
  • Serve as a support person during implementations and re-implementations; recommend being present for the first 2-3 weeks of new facility implementations
  • Ensure processes established at implementation continue; early intervention at the facility level is important to maintain standards of care throughout the company
  • Assist with skin sweeps/ensure skin sweeps are done quarterly
  • Assist in coordinating rounding schedule with Providers and Facilities (minimum twice weekly visits in every facility)
  • Identify key opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency
  • Utilize a centralized scheduling tool (coming soon) to make available providers’ schedules to the senior management team; this is another area where more communication is better than less, especially when facility management/ownership personnel reach out directly to our CEO & COO
  • Measure and report performance of providers in a regional area in the following key functional areas:
    • Quality patient care and clinical effectiveness
    • Effectiveness and efficiency of clinical rounds, following appropriate care models, processes, and standardized procedures of LTC Healing Partners
    • Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation
    • Providers’ ability to manage the workflow of their assigned facilities as well as their professional representation of Healing Partners, appropriate relationship-building interactions with Healing Partners clients and staff
  • Regularly identify and praise areas of positive performance
  • Regularly identify areas of improvement and growth, provider feedback and coaching on these areas with measurable action and follow-up 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

  • Be a clinical resource for providers, including standardized company guidelines (especially those requiring immediate attention)
  • Perform regular (no less than weekly) check-ins with clinicians
  • Perform regular check-ins (no less than monthly) with facilities and regional nursing leadership to ensure strong and positive relationships are established and maintained on behalf of LTC Healing Partners
  • Assist RDCO with planning & coordination for new facility contracts and provider placement -- Strategic employment of providers throughout the region should be discussed with senior management before significant changes are made due to preexisting agreements and client requests
  • Ensure appropriate coverage at all facilities under regional purview – identify and report shortfalls in staffing and performance to senior management and potential corrective measures as proactively as possible
  • Approve/track Provider PTO requests
  • Ensure coverage is maintained for facilities during provider PTO
  • Collaborative onboarding of all new orienteers with RDCO (hybrid model; virtual portion/schedule to be completed with RDCO)
  • Identification of preceptors for new providers
  • Facilitate in-person orientation of new providers
  • Monitor provider productivity to ensure encounter and procedure mix goals are being met

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks. 

Education and Experience:  

  • Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
  • Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
  • Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
  • Current Active, unrestricted APRN license in the state in which the applicant has applied.
  • Master’s degree of Nursing
