Regional Business Project Manager- Southern Eastern Europe

The responsibilities will include working with the Head of Southern Eastern Europe (SEE) at TOMRA and Managing Directors in allocated markets to identify and support various activities and projects across the SEE region.

The position will be based in Belgrade (Serbia), Sofia (Bulgaria), or Bucharest (Romania), and traveling across SEE region is required.

As part of the team, you will contribute to the development of the SEE Business Units and the achievement of overall goals within it, focusing on expansion efforts within given markets and SEE region. The position will see the organization leverage synergies where possible, scaling as opportunities materialize.

This role is ideal for someone with 3 to 6 years of project management experience who thrives in an international environment and has a background in or knowledge of the waste, retail, consulting, or recycling industry.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Identify and lead business projects and opportunity initiatives by ensuring viable business models and resource allocation that balances risk to reward aligned with Head of SEE and local MDs
  • Support SEE region in transversal projects and rollout initiatives and cooperate with MDs and other colleagues in SEE region on executing these initiatives
  • Support positioning TOMRA within the SEE markets.
  • Identify and pursue potential innovative investment and business development/growth opportunities
  • Be engaged and passionate about TOMRA culture
  • Enhance TOMRAs brand and reputation by accepting ownership of new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to possible TOMRA offerings
  • Support the successful delivery of new business opportunities into TOMRA’s existing business, from participation in new business tenders/sales to identification and execution of new business models.
  • Coordinate efforts across different departments: sales, marketing, service, operations, P&O, Finance and PMO
  • Uphold and be responsible for company rules, compliance and legislative needs
  • Follow TOMRA SAFE Standards and Guidelines
  • Comply with lawful instructions provided by your Manager
  • Business planning and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • 3 to 6 years of commercial experience with ability to identify and create pre-sales opportunities
  • Good networking skills
  • Prior experience within or knowledge of the waste, retail, consulting, or recycling industry
  • Relevant master’s degree
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working in an international environment is essential
  • Experience in strategy and business development projects with a global perspective is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • A high attention to details
  • Excellent analytical skills
