Position Overview
The Referral Focal Point for CORE Sudan Response will join a fast paced and dynamic team based in Port Sudan, Khartoum and remotely, supporting emergency and disaster response programs. To date, CORE Sudan is focused on providing cash transfer assistance. This position will work closely with the Program Manager, MEAL Specialist, CVA lead, and international and local partners to develop and maintain referral pathways, networks, and supports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scope and Travel:
- Travel within Sudan for community events and partner meetings.
- Potential regional travel outside Sudan.
Qualifications:

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.

Desired: Master’s degree in social work or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years in social work / protection, preferably in the public or non-profit sector
- Demonstrated experience in case management or social work
- Familiarity with community-based organizations
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High EQ; demonstrated success in managing diverse teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Work proactively with little supervision
- Flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing environment
- Strong project management, leadership and organizational skills
- Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Bilingual in English and Arabic is essential
