The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Recruiter:
The Recruiter will play a pivotal role in scaling the organization to deliver the LA28 Games, providing full-cycle recruiting for a diverse range of roles across departments and functional areas. With 3.5 years to build a world-class team, this individual will focus on identifying and securing top talent critical to our success. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and as a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, the Recruiter will bring strategic sourcing expertise, skilled recruiting practices, and a collaborative approach to the role. Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to creating a positive candidate experience are essential to thrive in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, and negotiating offers.
- Utilize innovative sourcing methods (LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, professional networks, etc.) to identify and engage top talent under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, manage the recruitment cycle, and provide timely updates through proactive communication.
- Offer expert advice to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, market trends, and data-driven insights to enhance decision-making.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with active and passive candidates, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience through timely follow-ups, interview feedback, and clear communication.
- Champion Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belong (DEIB) initiatives by actively sourcing and promoting diverse talent pipelines, partnering with the People Management team to enhance inclusive hiring practices.
- Support specialized hiring initiatives, such as seasonal intern programs, campus recruitment, or high-volume hiring events.
- Leverage the ATS (Greenhouse) to track recruitment metrics, manage workflows, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Collaborate with the People Management team to enhance recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Consistently achieve or exceed individual, team, and organizational recruitment targets.
Background & Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse experience preferred).
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
- Strong expertise in leveraging social media and networking platforms for talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in hiring practices.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to work in an office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA
- The majority of work may be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment
- Occasional travel to recruitment events, conferences, or meetings may be required.

- Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for key roles, anticipating future hiring needs.
- Act as an ambassador for LA28, promoting the organization’s mission and culture in recruitment efforts.
- Utilize structured interview techniques and tools to ensure objective and equitable candidate experiences.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with employment laws and organizational policies.
- Partner with People Management team to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to new hire, contributing to a positive onboarding experience.
- Advocate for and implement improvements in recruitment tools and platforms to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Naturally curious - evaluate recruitment practices and processes to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiencies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
