Work Responsibilities
- We recommend that candidates complete a paid internship at Mercari before moving on to the new graduate recruitment process. As part of the New Graduate Recruiting Team, you will actively and boldly lead recruiting activities in order to contribute to that goal. You will need the mindset and skills to think outside the box and utilize a variety of means to hire talent that will lead Mercari, both within Japan and overseas. You will also use scouting, holding company presentations, working with recruitment agents, and various other methods in order to build the talent pipeline necessary for Mercari to achieve its mission. Specific work responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Building and using systems to attract the talent Mercari needs
- Planning, proposing, and implementing hiring initiatives and branding strategies with diversity and inclusion in mind
- Conducting outreach activities to approach top talent both in Japan and overseas
- Scouting for suitable candidates, holding company presentations and tech events, and collaborating with recruitment agencies
- Formulating plans to create appropriate candidate pools for internships and for the actual selection process
- Planning and running internship programs
- Building and managing a mid/long-term talent pipeline
- Following up on interview processes and candidate offers, and seeing them through to completion
- Planning and implementing recruitment initiatives across the mid-career and the new-graduate hiring teams

Qualifications
- Required Experience/Skills
- Shared belief in Mercari Group’s mission and values
- Proven at least 1 years work experience as a campus recruiter or similar role at an in house or agency
- Mindset of taking on bold challenges, acting fast, and learning from mistakes
- Flexibility and speed, enabling agile response to complex organization issues
- Preferred Experience/Skills
- Experience in diverse recruiting activities, including hiring for a tech especially software engineer, product designer etc.
- Familiarity with the tools (e.g. G Suite, Slack, Workable (ATS), LinkedIn, Github, etc.)
- Experience working in a diverse team
- Language
- English: Independent (CEFR - B2) and above
- Japanese: Proficient (CEFR - C1) and above
