The RCM Operations Director is responsible for managing and overseeing the revenue cycle operations within our healthcare organization. This role focuses on optimizing processes, improving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the revenue cycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the revenue cycle team, including billing, coding, collections, and accounts receivable staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities for team members.
- Set performance goals and monitor team progress to ensure operational excellence.
- Process Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle processes, reduce denials, and increase collections.
- Analyze current workflows and identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline operations.
- Financial Performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on revenue cycle metrics.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare billing and coding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, coding guidelines, and regulatory changes.
- Implement quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and integrity of billing and coding processes
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in revenue cycle management operations
- Experience as a Senior Manager or Director leading a team within a RCM division for US Healthcare.
- Proven track record of improving revenue cycle efficiency and cash flow.
- Strong understanding of healthcare coding and billing practices (especially relevant in healthcare settings).
