This Accountant role has a strong personnel focus and will be part of the Record to Report function across ANZ and Asia. You will partner with the business to deliver as a team, the monthly management reporting; process improvements and commercial insights for SEEK across the APAC region.
To be successful in this position you will need to be an energetic self-starter with strong commercial and analytical skills. The ideal background is someone with strong management reporting skills; an ability to implement process improvements; and provide valuable insights to assist the R2R team and senior collaborators with business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly reporting to the business, including clear interpretation of actual results, communication of drivers and implications for future financial performance.
- Deep understanding of transactions across SEEK Asia business and proficient with Philippines local statutory accounting standards
- Be an active contributor, advocate and collaborator in the R2R Finance team vision
- Supporting R2R Managers to deliver strong financial controls and record financial results in-line with SEEK Group accounting policies and IFRS
- Work collaboratively across Finance teams to continuously improve the speed and automation of financial data capture, reconciliation, reporting, analysis and insight generation
Essential Skills, Experience and Proficiencies
- CA / CPA /ACCA designation or equivalent or partly qualified
- Experience in a shared services environment dealing with cross border journal entry posting and month end closing activities.
- Minimum 5 years+ relevant accounting experience with proven track record for accuracy in a team-based environment
- Experience in preparation and accountability for business unit P&Ls and balance sheets
- Self-starter with the ability to interpret and communicate commercial insights to decision makers
- Passionate for enhancing business processes and information systems to optimise the capture of information
- Capability to handle large volumes of information and manipulate this through advanced Excel skills and data visualisation tools
- Strong interpersonal skills to build robust working relationships within a dynamic team environment
- Capacity to run their own workflow
- An exposure to personnel specific accounting would be viewed favorably
