Riverlane is hiring a

Quantum Computing Internship 2025 - Boston, USA

Cambridge, United States
Contractor

Boston, US | Full-time | Fixed-term (3-6 months)

About us

Riverlane’s mission is to make quantum computing useful, sooner. From advances in material science to complex chemistry simulation for drug design and discovery, quantum computers will help solve some of the world’s most important challenges. Riverlane is building the quantum error correction stack to make this happen. It’s a complex problem that requires a range of skills, talent and passion. We’re making remarkable progress and growing fast.

About the internship

Our full-time internships are designed to enable current students in a quantitative field to translate their skills and expertise into an industrial setting. We welcome and encourage applications from people who do not have a background in quantum computing, including Computer Scientists, Software Engineers and developers. Please note that PhD students will be required to step out of their PhD research for a short time period.

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of talented software developers, engineers, mathematicians, quantum information theorists, computational chemists and computational physicists – all experts in their fields. Every intern will have a dedicated supervisor and will work on a project designed to make the best use of their background and skills, whilst developing their knowledge of quantum computing. Where possible, we will support all interns to try and produce a concrete output by the end of the internship e.g. a paper, product, or software tool.
