Quantitative Researcher / Trader

Job Description

As a Quantitative Researcher at Kronos, you will work closely with other world-class talent on improving our advanced high-frequency trading algorithms and prediction models. You will leverage cutting-edge technology and research to solve complex real-world problems in a fast-paced environment. We have a flat organizational structure that is extremely merit-based where top-performers are rewarded accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and deploy high-frequency trading algorithms in an active, live trading environment
  • Explore trading ideas by monitoring trading systems and analyzing market data, market microstructure, and trading results for patterns
  • Conduct research and statistical analysis to refine and optimize trading signals for different markets
  • Maintain and improve upon existing simulation and research pipelines for accuracy and time to market
  • Work closely with other researchers and software engineers to drive innovation across the firm

Qualifications

  • Advanced training (Bachelor, Masters, Ph.D.) from a top school in Computer Science, Math, Stats, Physics, Financial Engineering, Economics, or another highly quantitative field 
  • Background working in a data-driven research environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Python and have the ability to quickly learn C++

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of probability and statistics
  • Proficiency in C++ in a Linux environment
