Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspections & Testing: Perform routine inspections and testing of materials and finished products using precision tools like calipers and micrometers. Analyze and document results to ensure strict adherence to quality standards.
Process Monitoring & Improvement: Supervise production processes, identifying and addressing quality concerns, and collaborating with the production team to recommend and implement enhancements.
Data-Driven Excellence: Collect and analyze data to uncover trends and areas for improvement, contributing to consistent process optimization.
Compliance Leadership: Ensure activities align with industry regulations and company policies. Prepare for compliance audits and lead internal quality management system (QMS) audits.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate inspection tools to ensure accuracy and reliability, reporting malfunctions promptly.
Problem-Solving: Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues under the guidance of the Quality Manager.
Training & Support: Provide ongoing training for production staff on quality standards and assist in updating training materials.
Reporting: Generate comprehensive quality reports, maintaining organized records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions in ProShop ERP.
What You Bring to the Role:
3–5+ years of hands-on experience inspecting complex machined parts with 3D geometry and tight tolerances.
Proficiency in blueprint reading with an emphasis on GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Familiarity with AS9100 standards, quality processes, and operational procedures.
Expertise with 1st Article and PPAP documentation, RCCA processes, and non-conformance reporting.
Solid understanding of CMM operations and experience in the Aerospace industry.
Knowledge of additive manufacturing and proficiency in 4- or 5-axis CNC production processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Navy Quality Standards and clearances.
Welding certification and/or CNC machining experience.
Proficiency in ProShop ERP or similar systems.
