How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:
As an OPO Quality Systems Records Coordinator, you would be responsible to ensure compliance with AOPO, UNOS, and CMS regulations and standards by completion of timely and accurate quality reviews of organ donor charts, UNET data, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) data, and other information associated with LifeNet Health organ donors. This position also is responsible to obtain from and accurately report to donor hospitals, transplant centers and external organizations post donor clinical information.
What you’ll do:
- Obtains post donor clinical information from donor hospitals and external organizations. Interprets information for tiered level reporting and ensures that information is reported accurately and timely to donor hospitals, transplant centers and OPO Quality/Clinical Management as appropriate.

Performs data entry in TrueNorth and other OPO LifeNet Health databases. Is responsible to accurately document post donor results and post donor information according to regulations.
- Performs quality assurance audit of organ donor records for accuracy of information (combination of paper and electronic) and ensures all required documentation is completed in compliance with LifeNet Health SOPs, CMS and OPTN regulations and AOPO Standards. Makes corrections to donor record as allowed. Makes recommendations for improvements to documentation processes based on information trends found during audits and/or interactions with LifeNet Health staff.
- Documents deficiencies found on donor record audit and notifies appropriate staff for required corrections to be made. Verifies corrections of data when completed and escalates to management as needed. Utilize trend reports to identify opportunities for improvement or additional training.
- Assists with OPO data reports. Data submitted will be accurate and completed within required timeframes. Will assist with the development and distribution of other ad-hoc report according to LifeNet Health SOPs using database tools available.
- Determines when the organ donor chart has been completed in accordance with LifeNet Health SOP and is accountable to close the donor record to prevent further data entry. Maintains status of all organ donor records and ensures donor records are available as needed for internal and external reviews upon request.
- Assists quality systems and OPO management in the preparation of third-party audits.
What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):
- High School Diploma

Minimum three (3) years Health information management, utilization review, and/or organ or tissue donation systems experience

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in accessing and obtaining information from electronic medical records.
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field, preferred
- Two years (2) quality assurance medical recording auditing experience preferred

Salary: $20.36 - $27.15
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $20.36 hourly (entry-level qualifications) to $27.15 hourly (experienced in this role).
*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.
This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
