- Lead and maintain the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) specific to powertrain products.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct internal audits and manage third-party audits to ensure quality standards are being met.

Supplier Quality Management:
- Oversee the selection and evaluation of suppliers for powertrain components, ensuring they meet all quality requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and perform supplier audits as necessary.

Product Quality Assurance:
- Monitor the quality of powertrain components and systems through all stages of the production process.
- Investigate and resolve product quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Lead failure analysis and validation testing for powertrain components and systems.

Customer and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all products comply with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and customer specifications.
- Serve as the point of contact for customer quality concerns related to powertrain components and systems.
- Coordinate and implement product quality reviews and customer audits.

Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of quality engineers and technicians.
- Provide training and support for employees on quality standards, tools, and techniques.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the team and across the organization.

Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of quality control inspections, audits, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present reports on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Manage documentation related to product quality, including specifications, process flows, and work instructions.

Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across the powertrain manufacturing process, focusing on reducing defects, improving efficiency, and minimizing waste.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent)
- Knowledge in Engines and Engine Dress Components
- Experience developing Performance Standards, Creating master sections and Surface feasibility proposal for PDO
- Knowledge of CAN/LIN bus and experience with circuit analysis
- Design for Six Sigma DFSS experienced (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), Shainin Green Belt
- Experience with Tooling and Manufacturing methods for Engines and Engine Dress Components
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, leadership, organizational skills, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team environment
- Knowledge of Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), FEA, Mold Flow Virtual Validation, GD&T, and i-Speed

- Some travel required to Supplier and Corporate Engine/Transmission / Vehicle Assembly Plants.
- Green/black belt in Shainin or DFSS desirable.
- CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experiences on Powertrain structure preferred.
- Working knowledge of Casting and Injection Molding processes.
- Knowledge of FCA Systems and/or products a plus
- Strong communications skills and ability to convey technical information for understanding to various audiences (management/non-technical)
- Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of power electronics and devices
- Understanding of electrical engineering protocols and standards
- Working technical knowledge in applications engineering and product design/development (specifically within an automotive context)
- Working level knowledge of DVPAR and DFVEA.
