The Quality Management Systems Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization's quality management system (QMS) is compliant with relevant industry standards, regulations, customer requirements and INNIO standards for the Waukesha Business unit. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the QMS, conducting internal audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's QMS in accordance with industry and INNIO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or specific industry regulations. 
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with the QMS, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that quality standards are understood and integrated into all aspects of operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality management principles and practices.
  • Manage documentation related to the QMS, including policies, procedures, and records.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the QMS, including key metrics and trends.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the QMS and overall quality of products or services.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure that any non-compliance issues are addressed promptly.
  • Stay updated with changes in relevant standards and regulations and ensure that the QMS is updated accordingly.
Technical Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a preference in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the same industry. 
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused, enthusiastic
  • Team player with proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire others, and drive change within the organization to meet team goals/objectives.
  • Proven facilitation and team leading skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and other related tools.
  • Certification as a Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer or similar would be advantageous.
