Quality Engineer, UI

If you possess a passion for software quality and have the engineering expertise and attention to detail to craft reliable automated test suites, then we have the position for you.

We're looking for a Front End Test Automation Engineer to join the DNAnexus QE UI team to create automated UI tests in Cypress framework for the cloud platform that offers users the ability to seamlessly upload, manage, and explore the genomic and phenotypic data of millions of samples. This cloud platform works on AWS and Azure and uses big data technologies like Spark and Front End is built on ReactJS.

What we expect from you:

• 2+ years experience with writing automated and manual UI tests (UAT or integration)
• A curiosity and passion for creating testing scenarios and documenting defects
• Participation in code reviews 
• Good communication (written and verbal) in English
• Helping to diagnose the causes of failures in the execution of test suites when they occur and collaborating with the development or design team to resolve them
• Ability to orient yourself in complex infrastructure
• Sometimes communication with colleagues in the USA (Pacific time zone)

Will be an advantage:

• Experience with test automation framework Cypress, Playwright, or similar 
• Experience in continuous integration platforms such as Github Actions or Jenkins
• Experience with testing of products in highly regulated legal environments (banking or healthcare)
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with backend or web performance testing
