Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Quality Engineer who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Quality Engineering Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent Quality Assurance in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities, working closely with other departments, customers, suppliers and subcontractors on new product launches
- Lead projects focused on quality improvements to drive manufacturing productivity, including scrap reduction, and continuous improvement
- Act as liaison between customer and manufacturing/engineering on quality issues
- Work with Purchasing to address supplier quality issues
- Assist in the development and execution of training programs throughout the manufacturing and quality areas
Qualifications
- Technical degree in a Quality or Engineering related discipline
- Customer-driven sense of urgency
- Ability to lead, train, and drive change
- Teamwork, presentation, project management, and verbal/written communication skills required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Minitab
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
