SEWS—El Paso Customer Service Center (Eastside). Although located at SEWS – El Paso Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Job Title Quality Engineer II
Quality Engineer to coordinate and review on site the lines during start up process & engineering change follow the tracking sheet.&. PFMEA/ Plan de control evaluation on site. Review and follow up with plant the pending items until close. Review First piece and support events in the assy manufacturing plant. Support quality team in case a support in the assy customer plant due quality problems
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and follow up the Program Trackers for the new launches.
- Review on site the process according PFMEA& Plan de control.
- To be in contact with launch team and APQP team to follow project status
- First piece revision for project & Drawing
- Evaluate the drawing to identified critical point to be controlled in the manufacturing lines
- Participate on teams that identify risks/hazards associated with product designs, processes, applications and production phases.
- Follow on customer site the first launches events and follow quality concerned with manufacturing plants
- Flexibility to support the quality department functions as required by management
- Flexibility to travel within US and Mexico to support customer assembly plants and SEWS locations as need it
- Sorting, repair in customer sites as need it due quality problems
Qualifications
- BS in Industrial Engineering or similar field
- 3 to 5 years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Experience with core tools (PFMEA& Control plan)
- Experience in the automotive industry and wire harness manufacturing
