Weatherford is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our West Greens Road(Houston) facility. The Quality Control Inspector will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. The Quality Control Inspector position is an intermediate level position where you will monitor and inspect products manufactured by the Company. The QC Inspector will ensure the products meet quality standards, identify issues regarding quality of products and make recommendations for improvement. This role will also help to ensure suppliers improve supplier performance and help the Company in selecting suppliers that meet specified requirements. The Quality Control Inspector will report to the Quality Manager at the facility.

QUALITY
- Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System
- Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
OPERATIONS
- Check and test samples of a product.
- Inspect products purchased by their company from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance.
- To carry out the inspection related activities of all components and assemblies
- Dimensional and visual in-process inspection in conjunction with controlled drawings and applicable specifications.
- Receiving inspection of all jobs performed in the facility
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Responsible for inspecting products using established inspection tools and techniques.
- Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
- 2+ years’ experience in an inspection role in a similar manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and API requirements
- Knowledge of thread inspection
- Must be able to read blueprints/engineering drawings, operate measuring equipment, and demonstrate basic math
PREFERRED
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Good knowledge about purchase process followed in Manufacturing plant in an MNC
