About the Role

A leading hire and rental company in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced quality control consultant to create a detailed, step-by-step guide for inspecting trailers for potential issues. The consultant will focus on providing a comprehensive inspection method, starting from the front of the trailer and moving around systematically, identifying key areas and potential concerns. This role requires an articulate, charismatic, and well-presented individual with mid-level to senior experience in the trailer or vehicle inspection industry. The project must be completed on-site in Auckland, with an immediate start preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough, step-by-step guide for inspecting trailers, starting from the front and covering the entire structure.
  • Identify key inspection points, including mechanical components, lighting, safety features, and structural integrity.
  • Provide detailed descriptions of potential issues to look for at each stage of the inspection.
  • Collaborate with the company’s team to ensure the guide aligns with operational standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Mid-level to senior experience in trailer, vehicle, or mechanical inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, hitches, electrical wiring, and structural elements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Charismatic and well-presented with the ability to engage effectively with teams and stakeholders.
