Job Purpose

Vivo Energy Guinea is embarking in a Construction Project where an External Contractor is needed for a fixed term period.

The QA/QC Supervisor reports to the Project Manager. The QA/QC Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing, supporting all integrated Project Quality Activities : Quality Planning, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Improvement.

Storage LFO

- 2 x Vertical Tanks 1000 m3 each

- 2 x Self-Bunded Tanks 75 m3 each

Storage HFO

-   2 x Vertical Tanks 1000 m3 each

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Supports and contributes to the project Quality QA/QC process
  • Cultivate and maintain positive contractor relationships
  • Review and approve subcontractor’s quality plans and procedures
  • Prepare Quality input to the Monthly Progress Report and the Project Status Reviews
  • Perform surveillance and spot checks of deliverables
  • Ensure work processes and systems defined by Construction Supervisors (s) for all disciplines integrates quality control and quality assurance
  • Responsible for generating and publishing Weekly Surveillance Reports.
  • Work with contractors to avoid quality issues and correct any deficiencies found.
  • Generate Corrective Action, Preventive Action reports as required
  • Assist in the maintenance of the project Quality records for all phases of the project
  • Participate in required subcontractor inspections as defined by the project Inspection and test plans.
  • Interact and communicate with Client’s Quality representatives as required.
  • Review and approve subcontractor’s quality plans and procedures.
  • Identify Nonconformities in the physical work or processes and implement corrective actions and preventative actions to support continuous performance improvement.
  • Monitor the timely and effective close-out of Corrective Actions (CAs), Preventive Actions (PAs), and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Manage Vivo Civil works 3rd party contractor
  • Interact with contractor’s QA/QC responsible to ensure proper coordination of QA/QC activities
  • Complete any other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Project completion in line with the approved budget, agreed milestones and quality requirements.
  • Ensure project is executed without HSSE incidents
  • Smooth project commissioning

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Master / Technical degree with strong field work experience.
  • 5 -10 years of relevant civil, mechanical and pipe installation experience in Oil & Gas or Mining engineering and construction projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant international construction codes & standards (API 650, ASME, BS, ASTM, ANSI, ISO, NF, EN…)
  • Excellent organizational skills, including managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with all stakeholders & sub-contractors
  • Fluent in French & English
