Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets quality standards and business requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the scope, design, and functionality of the software.
- Identify, log, and track bugs and issues using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Work closely with developers to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Write and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and product owners, to align on project requirements and deliverables.
- Communicate test results and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance software quality and testing efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in software quality assurance.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with QA tools like Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automated testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing is a plus.
- ISTQB or other relevant certification is a plus.
