What the role includes:
Assisting veterinarians in day-to-day procedures, including but not limited to: anaesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, recovering patients
Assisting with x-rays, dentistry and other general procedures
Cleaning and sterilising equipment, cages, surgery and other general cleaning
Caring for hospitalised patients
Admission and discharge of patients
Performing pathology and diagnostic tests
For experienced qualified nurses opportunities to manage surgical days and teaching the trainees
About you:
Are you currently studying or do you hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing?
Do you have strong time management skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication?
Are you interested in continuing education and keeping up with the most recent standards of care?
Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team, whilst demonstrating the ability to work independently
Must demonstrate empathy towards our clients, patients and other staff needs – always going above and beyond to ensure all clients and patients experience the highest quality of care.
