We are currently looking for a technically-oriented Project Manager with a track record in project management and wide technical background, preferably in network connectivity, security and quantum, to join our team working on the management and delivery of EC Projects for the European Infrastructures and Projects Directorate.
You will be part of a team of established Projects Managers and engineers that nourish technical competency, delivering solutions/services for e-Infrastructures in a number of strategic EC Projects in the areas of Global Connectivity, EuroQCI, European Open Science Cloud and EuroHPC amongst others.
Requirements
Your Tasks:
- Develop project concept, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Preparing and writing proposals for projects, independently or in collaboration with other European partners
- Manage running projects
- Participate to and manage meetings, including administrative and technical ones
- Contribute to deliverables of active projects
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Contribute to creation of strategic and policy documents
- Contribute to designing technical solutions for scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available services targeting wide user base
- Represent the company in project consortium meetings in Europe and beyond
Your Profile:
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in management of technical and/or security projects
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in cybersecurity and/or network architecture.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in contributing to projects in the framework of national and European Programmes
- Self-driven, ability to take initiative, ability to accept challenges and undertake responsibilities
- Innovative spirit and team orientation
- Communication and presentation skills
Will be considered a plus:
- Participation in cybersecurity and/or quantum projects (QCI/QKD)
- Excellent communication skills
- Organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Working with agile methodologies
- Related certifications
