The Role
Veeva Systems is looking for a QA Manager to join our rapidly growing team that is focused on the Consumer Goods and Chemical sectors. This is a hands-on position for delivering a quality SaaS product and customer success. What You'll Do
- Manage a QA team and be responsible for managing day-to-day QA activities to ensure features are released on time and with quality
- Collaborate with development managers and product managers on sprint planning
- Identify risks for feature release and work with various stakeholders to ensure critical and high-risk items are prevented prior to release
- Identify regression risks and ensure the risk is minimalized
- Provide technical guidance to the QA team to test new features and regression test cases
- Track the progress of QA tasks and ensure tasks are accomplished on time with quality and with the right test coverage
- Generate and provide quality metrics for the team
- Offer continuous improvement by assessing the root cause of production issues for future prevention
- Develop an efficient QA team in product knowledge, QA skills, technical skills, processes, and standards
- Work collaboratively with the automation team to ensure automation goal is achieved
- Investigate and explore upcoming new technologies and suggest enhancements
- Recruit, challenge, and reward high-performing individuals
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing a team size of 6-10 QA engineers
- Possess an excellent end-to-end understanding of QA processes, organization, and techniques in order to drive quality into the product
- Ability to anticipate organizational and technical issues, and the ability to provide detailed projections and post-mortems
- Ability to be a technical QA manager, well-versed in Java applications
- Experience generating precise and concise functional testing metrics and measures of quality; you know how to project, track, assess, and report on adherence to these metrics
- 2+ years of experience working with product cross-functional teams in a leadership role using agile/iterative development methods
- Qualified candidates should have completed a 4-year college degree. Preferred in Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience in a SaaS environment that has an agile development process is a huge plus

Compensation
- Base pay: $100,000 - $175,000 CAD
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
