QA Engineer - PowerShell and Bash Scripting

We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (Q&A) Engineer with expertise in testing PowerShell for Windows and Bash scripts for MacOS. As a Q&A Engineer specializing in scripting languages, you will ensure our software products' reliability, functionality, and performance, which rely heavily on PowerShell and Bash scripts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and scripting languages and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

**Key Responsibilities: **

1. **Script Testing: **

   - Design, develop, and execute comprehensive PowerShell and Bash Remote Actions test plans in Nexthink.

   - Conduct thorough testing to ensure scripts meet functional and performance requirements.

   - Identify and report defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

   - Build and maintain test environments to account for any use case. These include physical devices, virtual machines, Azure instances, SCCM, Intune, Jamf…

2. **Automation:**

   - Leverage automation tools and frameworks to create and execute automated tests for PowerShell and Bash scripts.

3. **Collaboration:**

   - Collaborate with software developers, delivery consultants, service delivery managers, and other stakeholders.

   - Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights on script quality and test results.

4. **Documentation:**

   - Create and maintain detailed documentation for test cases, plans, and testing procedures related to PowerShell and Bash scripts ran as Remote Actions in Nexthink.

   - Create and maintain detailed documentation on testing results, requirements, and functionality.

   - Contribute to the development of best practices for scripting within the organization.

5. **Performance Testing:**

   - Conduct performance testing on scripts to meet scalability and efficiency requirements.

   - Identify and address performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies in scripts.

6. **Nexthink:**

   -  Experience with Nexthink is desired, although in-house training will be provided.

You would be an ideal candidate if you:

• Graduation in BE/MCA 
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in automation testing on Bash Scripting (MacOS) and Powershell(Windows) (mandatory)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies in an unsupervised environment
•  Passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
