What will you do in this role? 

As a QA Engineer Intern, you will be a member of the Application Engineering domain within the Solutions line of business at ICEYE. You will join us in building and maintaining tests for web applications used to facilitate end-to-end analytical operations, converting data from our satellite fleet and various third-party data sources into Natural Catastrophe impact insights. These insights are then safely delivered to our customers. You will collaborate with other QA engineers, software engineers, product designers, data analysts, product managers, and client representatives to successfully deliver our NatCat insight missions. Your main responsibilities will involve maintaining and supporting the E2E testing pipeline of our internal application. The internship period lasts 6 months full-time, with the possibility to join our team full-time afterward.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain automated test scripts for new features, end-to-end (E2E) scenarios, and more (Playwright).
  • Communication: Collaborate with users, developers, QAs, designers and product managers on various business requirements.
  • Support: Assist the development team in reproducing issues and root cause analysis.
  • Reporting: Continuously report work progress through attendance at daily and weekly internal project meetings.

Requirements

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Adequate knowledge of using browser development tools for monitoring and debugging
  • Adequate coding/scripting skills.
  • Understand and experience in using version control like Git
  • Efficient communication skills
  • You are at the end of your study or recently graduated from your degree.

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:

  • Some prior exposure with any UI testing tools like Cypress, Robot framework, Jest, Playwright, Selenium etc.
  • Experience with Linux / Unix OS platforms

  • The base salary range for this position is 1500 - 2500 EUR per month (gross) depending on how far you are with your current study.
