About

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who can guide the implementation and continuous improvement of QA processes, practices, and tools to support continuous delivery and quality accountability. As a key member of our Tech, Product, and Data Team, you will work across multiple squads and collaborate with engineering, product managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that new systems, platforms, and features are developed and released with minimal issues.

At the heart of this role is a customer-focused approach, ensuring our testing strategies contribute to product excellence and help deliver on our strategic goals. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our quality assurance processes. While our current team consists of skilled manual testers, you'll have the exciting opportunity to initiate the charge in our automation journey. Your expertise will not only enhance product quality but also significantly boost customer satisfaction

The Role

By joining our team, you’ll:

  • Develop, plan, and maintain automated tests to ensure quality focussed system features and enhancements are delivered
  • Continuously improve automation tests and manage defect logs, validating fixes and ensuring high-quality releases.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to identify testing needs and ensure appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place
  • Implement scalable, automated testing frameworks, focusing on customer needs and business objectives
  • Share your knowledge with the team around automation testing
  • Select and implement a range of testing tools, technologies, and practices
  • Engage in stress testing, performance testing, and scalability testing, contributing to the continuous delivery of exceptional product experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Principal Engineers and Solutions Architects to help move our testing technology forward

Requirements

What you can bring to our team:

  • Comprehensive understanding of software testing, its main concepts and processes: different testing levels, methods and types; test estimation techniques
  • Experience in building and designing automation suites
  • Proficiency in understanding data sources, query languages, and data validation techniques
  • A proactive approach to identifying, selecting, and implementing QA tools and processes
  • Proven experience in writing and executing automated tests, managing defect logs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence teams in adopting scalable, clean automation frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide objective feedback to development teams and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to optimise processes and tools
  • ISTQB qualification or equivalent professional experience is desirable

Everyone’s career path is individual and different, so this is just a guide. If your experience doesn't precisely match this, you’re encouraged to apply so that we can discover your unique talents!
