QA Engineer

Our technology stack is mostly based on PHP, React, and AWS, and our testing framework relies on Cypress. We like acronyms such as TDD, BDD, and DDD. We employ more than 60 engineers spread across various squads of 5-8 people, structured in a manner inspired by the Spotify model.

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our dynamic TalentLMS team at Epignosis. You will be part of a small cross-functional squad that will allow you to collaborate closely with fellow engineers, contributing to the enhancement of our testing processes and frameworks. Your responsibilities will include orchestrating test automation, developing and executing automated test scripts, analyzing results, and troubleshooting issues in collaboration with our dev team. Manual testing will also be part of your remit when necessary.

What you'll do

  • Work alongside fellow engineers in a small cross-functional squad with specific scopes and goals.
  • Collaborate with other QA engineers as part of the QA chapter.
  • Collaborate with squad and chapter leads to orchestrate and prioritize test automation tailored to your squad's needs.
  • Contribute to enhancing test automation frameworks, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
  • Analyze test results and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform manual testing when necessary.
  • Constantly educate yourself! We encourage and promote training and upskilling.

Requirements

Who you are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in working with web, mobile, or API test automation.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript (preferably), Python, PHP, or Java.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and tools.
  • Basic experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Cypress (preferably), Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Passionate about shift-left testing, modern testing principles, automation best practices, and agile testing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with using Postman/Swagger.
  • Experience with virtualization or containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and CI/CD tools like GitHub actions.
  • ISTQB foundation/advanced level certification.
