QA Engineer

With Us You Will

  • Actively participating in all Scrum ceremonies, including Grooming, Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives with the Scrum teams as required.
  • Engaging in the validation of sites/apps at various stages, such as pre-release and post-release, under different platform/network conditions.
  • Conducting exploratory testing on sites using diverse strategies as recommended by the QA lead.
  • Assisting the QA team by conducting investigations needed from the development side within the EU time zone.
  • Documenting and sharing discovered bugs with the QA lead/team.
  • Supporting and coordinating with the QA team on the debugging of the issues (Eg: checking network, console logs).

  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality.

What We Expect From You

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or comparable experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in the Web development/Quality Assurance domain, focusing on Web/Native applications.
  • Proficiency in browser/UX principles, including the use of debugging tools, identifying console errors, and interpreting network responses.
  • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Gherkin language for developing and understanding test cases/scripts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Test Management tools like Q-Test, HP ALM, and Project Management tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Understanding of query languages like JQL for report management.
  • Acquaintance with Software Testing Techniques such as Equivalence Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis, Decision Table Testing, Test Execution Optimization Techniques, and Risk-Based Testing.
  • Familiarity with automation, including the ability to write scripts in Selenium or CodeceptJS with Cucumber, is an added advantage.
  • Essential soft skills include proactiveness, the ability to multitask, strong communication skills, and ownership at the product level to identify and report bugs, regardless of feature development stages.
