As a Software Engineer in Test / QA Engineer at DataGalaxy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our Data Catalog platform.

On a daily basis, your role will be to :

  • Be the dedicated QA point of contact for the team, fully integrated within the development cycle.
  • When not actively involved with team testing, focus on automation efforts, covering around 70-80% of your time.
  • Ensure the implementation of automated testing strategies using Cypress or Playwright, while collaborating with the development team to create testing frameworks from scratch.
  • Work with the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring seamless integration of automated testing (we use Azure DevOps for delivery automation).
  • Drive and apply good practices for end-to-end testing, unit testing, and integration testing across projects.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation related to testing processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with a fully remote team, engaging in regular communication and supporting the Agile process.

Profile: You're the ideal person if:

  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in QA, automation testing, and have worked closely with Cypress or Playwright.
  • You have experience building automated testing frameworks from the ground up.
  • You are familiar with end-to-end testing practices, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • You have experience integrating automated testing into delivery pipelines (experience with Azure DevOps is a plus).
  • You have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and have worked in an Agile team environment.
  • You are open to fully remote working and are proactive in collaborating with a distributed team.

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of container development and architectures such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with testing practices for browser extensions or monorepo environments.
