QA Engineer and Application Support

Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
• Quality Assurance Implementation:
o Develop and execute comprehensive test cases based on application requirements to
ensure software quality and reliability.
o Focus on automation, designing and maintaining scripts to automate tests and optimize
the testing process.
o Utilize tools like Microsoft Playwright for test automation and Allure for reporting,
ensuring thorough test coverage and insightful analytics.
o Experiment with and adopt AI-based QA tools (e.g., Testim) to enhance test efficiency and
accuracy as part of a move toward AI-assisted QA.
• Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
Globalgig 2024
o Drive automation in testing processes, reducing manual testing to a minimum while
improving testing speed and accuracy.
o Continuously evaluate testing frameworks and workflows, identifying areas for
optimization and innovation.
o Ensure comprehensive coverage for functional, performance, and security testing.
• Application Support:
o Assist in managing the ticket queue for reported issues, feature requests, and user
feedback.
o Investigate and troubleshoot reported issues, working closely with development and
product teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
o Act as a liaison between end-users and technical teams, ensuring effective
communication and resolution of reported concerns.
• Collaboration and Agile Practices:
o Work closely with the Orchestra Software Product team during daily stand-ups and Agile
ceremonies to align QA efforts with product goals.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the software
development lifecycle seamlessly.
• SDLC and Tooling:
o Use Azure DevOps for managing test cases, tracking issues, and collaborating across the
development team.
o Leverage Azure Cloud for hosting and optimizing testing environments and workflows.
• Passion and Industry Knowledge:
o Exhibit a passion for quality assurance, automation, and continuous improvement in
testing processes.
o Familiarity with the telecom industry, including CDR files or telecom billing systems, is a
strong plus.

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a strong focus on test automation and
optimization.
• Proficiency in using automation tools like Microsoft Playwright and reporting tools like Allure.
• Experience with AI-based QA tools or a strong curiosity to experiment with emerging technologies
in testing.
Globalgig 2024
• Familiarity with manual testing techniques and a proven ability to transition manual tests into
automation.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps for managing test cases and tracking issues is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud environments for testing is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile, cross-functional
teams.
Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience in the telecom industry, particularly with CDR file processing or telecom billing
systems.
• Familiarity with platforms that serve both internal and external users
