For one of our clients based in Luxembourg - a leading energy supplier in Luxembourg and the area, we are looking for a QA Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Katalon/Cypress and development (Java/Python) to join our team in the area of energy production. You will play the key role in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Katalon/Cypress, while managing tests in AIO Test management. Your responsibility includes integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, performing test analysis, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will also drive the standardization of testing processes and assist in onboarding projects into the new test management system.

The position is short-term (3 months initial contract, renewable) based in Luxembourg where the onsite presence is needed in the first month. If you’re not based in the area, relocation to Luxembourg (or borders - Belgium, France, Germany) will be required.

More specifically, you will be responsible for...

• Automation Script Development:

  -Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and Cypress frameworks.

• CI/CD Integration:

  -Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that the automation framework is both efficient and scalable.

• Test Case & Execution Management:

  -Develop test cases based on user stories, functional specifications, and business requirements.

  -Execute automated tests, analyse results, and troubleshoot failures to ensure early detection of issues.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  -Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and enhance product quality.

  -Create and manage test reports using AIO Test Management and other tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps).

• Mentorship & Onboarding:

  -Mentor junior engineers or interns by providing guidance on automation best practices.

  -Lead the onboarding of new projects into standardized testing processes and the AIO Test Management system.

• Continuous Improvement:

  -Initiate and execute automation proof of concepts (POCs) to evaluate optimal testing strategies and tools.

  -Provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve the testing strategy and automation frameworks.
