We are seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Meztal and lead automated testing efforts for our software solutions. This role involves close collaboration with development, product, and client-facing teams to build and maintain a robust testing framework, ensuring high-quality software releases. Experience with SaaS platforms and the ability to thrive in smaller, agile teams will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Create and execute automation test plans and test cases for new features, bug fixes, and software enhancements.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo, ensuring smooth continuous deployments.
- Collaborate with the manual testing team to identify areas for automation, extend API and end-to-end (E2E) coverage, and improve overall testing coverage.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring quick resolution in coordination with the development team.
- Analyze test results and generate regular reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Use SQL and database queries to validate data accuracy and consistency beyond the front end.
- Engage in cross-team collaboration, providing thoughtful feedback and navigating conflicts constructively within a fast-paced, small-team environment.
- Continuously optimize testing frameworks and processes for enhanced performance, scalability, and automation coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in test automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with SaaS platforms and an understanding of complex software workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or other relevant scripting languages.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or similar.
- Solid understanding of automated testing methodologies and best practices, including API and E2E automation.
- Proficiency with SQL and ability to work comfortably with databases.
- Fluent professional English (spoken and written).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenges constructively and thrive in a collaborative, agile environment.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with client-centered testing practices and experience in customer-focused software environments.
- Knowledge of API testing frameworks and automation tools.
- Understanding of HIPAA or other compliance frameworks for healthcare systems.
- Experience with usability and accessibility testing to ensure smooth user experiences for non-technical users.
