About The Role  

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer that specializes in data visualization. You will play a pivotal role in transforming complex datasets into insightful and visually appealing representations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data visualization solutions that drive informed decision-making and enhance user experience.  

Responsibilities 

  • Visualization Design: Collaborate closely with designers to develop visually compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards using Python. 
  • Data Integration: Work with the Data Engineering and Platform team to incorporate new datasets into existing dashboards and visualizations 
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data visualization code for performance and scalability, considering factors like rendering speed and resource utilization. 
  • User Experience Enhancement: Continuously improve the user experience of data visualization products by incorporating user feedback and best practices in data visualization design. 
  • Multi-Product Compatibility: Implement visualizations that are compatible with a custom dashboard platform and Excel Add-Ins. 

 Qualifications 

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience writing Python scripts required 
  • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a focus on data visualization. 
  • Proficiency in Python programming language and relevant libraries for data manipulation and visualization (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Plotly, Highcharts). 
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical concepts 
  • Experience working with SQL databases and proficiency in writing complex queries 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and informative data visualizations 
  • Experience with Blockly preferred 
  • Experience with Excel Add-Ins preferred 
  • Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus

Salary 

The annual base salary for this role is between $105,000 – $125,000 based on experience and qualifications. The position is also eligible for a variable bonus and company equity.
