Purchasing Clerk / Administrator
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Employer: Optime Group on behalf of a well-respected client
What’s on Offer:
- Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour
- Schedule: 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday)
- Hours: 9:00am to 3:00pm (flexible hours possible with agreement)

Main Purpose of the Role:
- Purchasing hardware, glass, timber, and other supplies essential for production.
- Delivering high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requesting and processing quotations for production line supplies.
- Placing purchase orders with various suppliers.
- Keeping accurate purchase records.
- Providing weekly reports to the Managing Director.
- Performing general housekeeping duties.
- Maintaining quality standards.
Key Objectives:
- Meeting targets to fulfill customer demands and deadlines.
- Upholding company quality standards.
- Demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to enhance efficiency and meet business needs.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in interpreting company documents.
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to take on responsibilities.
