ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of additional funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on the availability of resources.
The main goal of this role is to provide developmental support through research and lead generation. This role will define and implement the prospect research program and will utilize innovative analytics to maximize the potential partnerships of individuals, churches, organizations, and foundations.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Identification & Pipeline Development:
- Identify leads that could become prospects using Donor Search and other prospect management tools.
- Conduct in-depth prospect research for corporations, churches, foundations, and individual major gift prospects.

Prospect Evaluation:
- Assess the capacity, inclination, and philanthropic history of potential donors through comprehensive research and analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to front line fundraisers and leadership to determine the best approach for donor engagement.
- Map relationships between donors and prospects to help identify opportunities and build a major gifts pipeline.

Prospect Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect information, interactions, and research findings in the donor database (Raiser Edge NXT).
- Regularly update prospect profiles to ensure accurate tracking and strategic planning.

Internal Partner Research
- Interpret, and evaluate biographical, business, personal, and financial information for current donors.
- Proactively review donor prospect assignments to ensure solicitation strategy in relationship to capacity and affinity.
- Map relationships between donors and prospects to help identify opportunities and build a major gifts pipeline.
- Prepare high-quality profiles and strategic briefings on prospects and/or groups of prospects for development staff and executive leadership, in advance of calls and events to obtain optimal outcomes.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other members of the Foundation team, including gift officers, consultants, and leadership, to share prospective research findings, insights, and strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination to maximize donor engagement and achieve fundraising goals.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Working alongside the Senior Fundraising Analytics Specialist, analyze prospect data, performance metrics, and campaign progress to generate reports and provide insights to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making processes.

Confidentiality:
- Adhere to the confidentiality, security, and integrity standards of the World Relief policies and procedures along with the ethical guidelines outlined in the Association of Prospect Researchers for Advancement Ethics Statement.

- 25% Domestic Travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, graduate level degree preferred, and a minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in non-profits, sales, foundation work, fundraising, marketing and communications.
- Ability to use Raiser’s Edge NXT donor tracking system or equivalent.
