A candidate for this position should have an engineering degree in a relevant discipline with an appreciation for structured development processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in aerospace system or aircraft development which include complex electronics and software. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including, software, electrical, mechanical and certification engineers. The ability to communicate clearly with other engineers and regulatory authorities is essential to be successful in this role. Responsibilities include conducting design reviews, validation and verification activities, inter and intra system integration .
The candidate should expect to contribute as a team member to establish, manage and ensure compliance to the customer, regulatory, aircraft and system level requirements including demonstrating compliance through safety assessment.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Perform propulsion System and Component requirements development and validation.
- Conduct system integration activities such as: interface definition, hardware and software test support and system to system integration testing.
- Plan, coordinate and execute verification activities with various engineering disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:
- Experience with development of requirements based testing for complex electronic systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency working within a structured development process.
- Familiarity with modern workspace tools such as slack, google suite, etc
Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
- Demonstrated proficiency in development and life cycle data management of complex aerospace systems including ARP4754A/B, DO-178C and DO-331
- Familiarity with mathworks’ tools such as Matlab and Simulink for model based development.
- Experience with title 14 CFR parts 23, 25, 27, 29, or 33.
- Exposure to motor control and inverter design would be valuable.
- Some amount of exposure to embedded control systems would be a bonus.
